Golden Goose Tickets Will Arrive Soon

Hi Everyone,

Just to let everyone know that I will be receiving GOLDEN GOOSE TICKETS SOON!

Spread the word to the parents please.

We will have 30 tickets and each ticket is $30 - It is total profit for us - Storyland doesn’t take anything - and we usually end up getting about $34 for each ticket. Talk it up to the parents - this isn’t for the kids to sell its for the parents to sell to friends or relatives.

It’s for Friday Sept 12th (no kids) adults only event, raffle for $1000. Tons of great food, auction items, some rides and you get a ticket to Storyland for another day. All the nonprofits in the valley get to sell them. If we sell all 30 we can get more! They will be going fast. If someone wants to reserve them they can call Mary Hill and leave a message.

I am hoping that each den could sell 4 tickets to someone they know. The parents of the scouts don’t have to buy them but it would be great if each den could brainstorm friends or coworkers who they could ask.

It would be great if we could get them all sold by the pack meeting in June and then we wouldn’t have to worry about it over the summer or in the fall when we are doing all the popcorn stuff. So people get out there and SELL SELL SELL!

Valley Pride Cleanup Day for Cub Scouts

Valley Pride Cleanup Day for Cub Scout Pack 150 will be Saturday at 8:00 a.m. Mary Hill will get the trash bags early so we can start promptly. Then if people need to go to baseball maybe they can get in an hour or so. We will be cleaning the Route 302 strip in Center Conway.

Scouts should at least wear their hats so people will notice as they are driving by. Den leaders should get the message out to everyone so that whoever is available can show up.

Let’s do our part! Thanks!

No Den 1 Meeting Thursday May 1 2008

Here’s a reminder to all Pack 150 Den 1 Parents and Scouts: there will be no Den 1 meeting this week as I will be out of town for a work conference.

Also be aware that Valley Pride Cleanup day is Saturday, May 3rd. Due to the baseball opening day parade and many other activities on Saturday, Pack 150 will do our cleanup on Sunday May 4th instead. More details to come.

Thanks,
Matt Gagnon
Den 1 Leader

Cub Scout Pack 150 Committee Meeting Notes for April 2008

April Pack Meeting

Following this month’s theme of “Abracadabra,” we are hiring professional magicians to entertain the boys for the full hour! It will be a lot of fun. Plus, we’ll be signing up for Camp Carpenter Weeklong (August 3-7) and Weekend (August 9-10) camping. All money, medical forms, and camp forms must be turned in in order for your scout to attend camp! Click here for more camping information.

Some dens will be holding a Hike-a-Thon to raise money to go to camp this summer. Mary Hill will have official forms to use to collect pledges. Money raised may be used to attend camp or be used in the camp scout store. Any left over is put into the scout’s individual account to be used for next year.

The pack will pay the full amount for the scouts who are attending weekend camp, and half of the amount for weeklong. Adults and siblings who go along must pay.

Cub Scout Den 1 Bears Meet Tonight, April 3, 2008

Hi Scouters,

There is a Den 1 Bears meeting tonight at Pine Tree School at 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria, as usual. The theme for this month is “Abracadabra,” so plan on learning some magic tricks and trying to figure out how to escape from a trick.

Plus we’ll play a fun game. I don’t want to spoil the surprise, but it involves hopping on one foot!

See you there,

Matt

No, I’m not fooling around, there really is a Cub Scout Pack 150 committee meeting tonight at 6:30 p.m. (it is the first Tuesday of the month, after all). However, it’s not at the Conway Public Library but the Pine Tree School Library instead.

See you all there,
Matt
