September 2007 Cub Scout Committee Meeting

Hello All,

Time to start thinking about our up coming year. September we will be hitting the ground running, So…….here we go:

Tues. Aug. 28th at 6:30 PM at the Conway Library there will be a committee meeting. This meeting is IMPORTANT. We will be going over this year’s popcorn sales, our pack’s monthly plans for the up coming year, Fall Round Up at our Sept 13 Pack Meeting, Jamboree, and any other thing that needs addressing. Please be sure to come.

Sept is always a busy one.

Popcorn Sales can start NOW. Our Popcorn Committee (Sonya Porter and Mike Foss) are needing help with the popcorn sale (many hands make light work). Contact them for information. They have the forms for ordering. All den leaders can have their scouts start taking orders for popcorn. We will have popcorn on the eve of Sept 21. Before we let anyone have any for door to door Show and Sell, the pack will be having a 2 Day Blitz at Shaw’s Market, (Sept 22 & 23, 9-4 both days) This will have to be manned by adults, selling by scouts. This will be a Pack Event. It would be GREAT to see 100% involvement. This will be a great opportunity to make a lot of money for our pack. The more we make with this popcorn sale, the less we will have to dish out for our events.

New Hampshire State Jamboree - This is a big Scout event! Webelos are being invited to camp out with the Troop 150 Boy Scouts (which I recommend) and all other Scouts are invited for the Saturday events and evening show. It will be awesome! They are expecting up to 10,000 Scouts!

Date: Oct. 5-7 2007
Where: Gunstock Recreation Area
More Information: www.dwcbsa.org/nhjamboree

Any questions or comments call and or email me 447-2814 (home), 986-0063 (cell)

Thanks,

Larry Nash
