Pack 150 Meeting

May Pack meeting at 6:30 at Pine Tree. The next kindergarten roundup will be held then too. Tiger cubs need to bring a cake. The theme is “Digging in the Dirt,” so “dirt,” “grass,” “bugs,” “gummy worms,” (all edible hopefully) etc. are all appropriate cake decorations! We will be doing some planting and potting projects that the kids can bring home. We can also do a skit if we want. Another idea we had was to decorate something (popsicle sticks, whatever) at the den meetings to put in the plant pots, and bring them to the pack meeting to put in the pots.

Hike-A-Thon

May 21st is the Hike-a-thon. 12 noon at the top of Hurricane MountainRoad. You can bring a snack or lunch if you want. I have the pledge forms and envelopes. If they raise $30 they earn a patch. 25% goes to the council, the rest with us. Bring the pledge forms that day, and the money should preferably be a check made payable to Pack 150. A flat pledge, as opposed to a per-mile pledge, is suggested (say $5, $10, etc.)

New Pack 150 Website Launched!

Daniel Webster Council, Conway, New Hampshire

The Pack 150 Comittee approved a domain name for this website on May 2, 2006. The site was launched successfully on May 3rd.

My hope is that this site will be a good reference for parents, scouts, den leaders, and other interested people to find out what is going on in Cub Scout Pack 150.

All are invited to check back here often to:

  1. See what’s going with Pack 150 now and in the future
  2. Comment on posts and send messages to one another
  3. Post Den news (den leaders only, please)
  4. Post leadership committee meeting minutes

Have a look around and let me know what you think of the site. I welcome all comments, the good, the bad, and the ugly!

Matt

  2. Leave No TraceMay 21st is the Hike-a-thon. 12 noon at the top of Hurricane MountainRoad. You can bring a snack or lunch if you want. I have the pledge forms and envelopes. 3. Golden Goose Tickets. The pack bought 30 at $30 each. We need to sell them all by the end of summer. The committee members took all of them to sell, but if the parents want to sell some too they can call Mary. Proceeds go to the pack general fund. Golden Goose itself is September 15th, adults only.
  4. Graduation for all cub scouts will be in early or late June. We need to let Mary know who needs what badge by the middle of May if we are to get them in time. Also any extra electives as well.
  5. 6. I brought to the table the idea that we should have a pack website and to decide what our url should be. We agreed that it was a good idea, and the url will be cubpack150.com. I will order it and set up and pay for the hosting, get the site set up, designed, programmed, etc.
